NASHOBA VALLEY SKI & SNOWBOARD PROGRAMThe Learn to Ski Program provides ski or snowboard lessons, lift tickets and transportation to the Nashoba Valley Ski Area in Westford, MA. Participants should be independent, able to keep track of their possessions, and keep to a schedule.Program InformationGrades: 3 – 5 Dates: Tuesdays, January 4th – January 25th (4 Sessions)Time: 2:00pm – 6:30pm (times are approximate). Lessons are tentatively scheduled for 4:15pm.Cost: $360.00 per participant(Each week participants will have time for free ski before lessons begin)Equipment RentalIf your child needs to rent equipment through Nashoba Valley, there will be a mandatory fitting on Tuesday, December 7 (6pm - 7pm) in the lobby of the Ed Burns Arena. Rentals are estimated to be $105.00 for the season, checks payable the night of the fitting directly to Nashoba Valley (additional to registration fee). If you plan on renting through Nashoba and do not make the date of the fitting, it will be necessary to go to Nashoba on your own before the first session for a private fitting. Helmets will be sold at the fitting for $60. Helmets can also be rented for $45. TransportationThe bus will meet at the Ed Burns Arena, 422 Summer St. We will begin boarding at approximately 1:50pm. Return location will be the same. If a session needs to be canceled due to inclement weather, the session will be made up the next consecutive Tuesday. Registration NotePlease note that registration numbers are limited and accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Parent VolunteersParent volunteers are allowed to ski/snowboard for free, but must attend all four weeks of the program. Parent volunteers are assigned to same group for the entire program and are responsible for taking attendance, assisting with equipment rental, and chaperoning participants at Nashoba Valley. September 28, 2021 Update: The Kid Care Afterschool program has a couple of openings for most days.  If you are interested in registering, please call 781-316-3883.  Thank you!  Arlington Recreation Dept. is proud to offer this licensed, extended-day program for children in Grades K – 5. The program is held at the Gibbs School, 41 Foster Street.  We currently accept students from Thompson, Hardy, Dallin,  Brackett - and now Stratton too!  Transportation is provided from these schools and included in the tuition.Arlington Kid Care, which is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, follows the Arlington Public School calendar with the following exceptions: it is not open when school closes at mid-day for a vacation period or closes early because of bad weather. Early release days are included as long as you are registered for the respective day.Registration Tip: Grades automatically roll up 6/1/21.  If registering an incoming Kindergartener before 6/1/21 - the grade should be "PK".  Also, if your child's grade is incorrect or listed as "N/A", please contact Arlington Recreation to update.

Bay State Skating School Learn To Skate ProgramCelebrating Over Fifty Years of Teaching Skating to YouthBasic instruction and open skate for youth, without parents. Children will be taught how to stand up on skates, marching, dips, and forward skate. Participants are required to provide their own single blade skates (rentals available). Helmets are required for this program!  It’s time to sharpen your blades for the coming winter season! Join Bay State Skate for skating fun. All teachers are professional ice skating instructors, offering excellent classes for students ages 4 and up. The program is structured in 25-minute lessons and 25-minute practice time each week. A co-instructor is in attendance at all times. Skaters must have sharpened figure, hockey, or recreation skates. NO Double Runners. Skill progression: balancing, falling and getting up, glides, turns, edges, crossovers, spins, jumps and more. Badminton is a fast, fun, and social game that can be played and enjoyed by people of all ages. Even if you are new to badminton, you will quickly learn the basics and join others in exciting games. Indoor badminton is more fun, more exciting, and more energetic than the "backyard badminton" that most Americans are familiar with. Shuttlecocks will be supplied. Some racquets will be available for use.   This 2022 Winter/Spring Badminton will run on Friday nights at Dallin Elementary School from 6:30pm- 9:30pm. 16 Sessions from 1/21- 5/27 (x2/25,x4/15,x4/22) You can also do drop-in classes for $20 cash at the door.

(Travel program is through Arlington Recreation Department and the Metrowest League).  ABC strives to provide age-appropriate and skill-appropriate player development by offering a strong, sustainable program which will help develop basketball skills earlier with consistency over time.    Sessions are once per week, for one hour, offered to players PK - 3rd grade.  They are skills and drills based (no game/league play).  Our goal is to expose as many kids to play in a fun and supportive environment.- $160 - 8-week session- Location: Dallin School- Days: Saturdays- Dates: January 8th - March 12th (No Clinic 2/19/22)

Spy Ponders Volleyball Led by Liz Morris, AHS Boys Varsity Volleyball and AHS Girls Varsity Volleyball Coach, Spy Ponders Volleyball will provide players with the fundamental skills of the sport. We will pay special attention to offense and defense which will lead to team-building activities. Children will be taught how to stand up on skates, marching, dips, and forward skate. Participants are required to provide their own single blade skates (rentals available). Bay State Skating School Learn To Skate ProgramCelebrating Over Fifty Years of Teaching Skating to YouthBasic instruction and open skate for youth, without parents. Children will be taught how to stand up on skates, marching, dips, and forward skate. Participants are required to provide their own single blade skates (rentals available). The program is held at the Gibbs School, 41 Foster Street.  We currently accept students from Thompson, Hardy, Dallin,  Brackett - and now Stratton too!  Transportation is provided from these schools and included in the tuition.Arlington Kid Care, which is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, follows the Arlington Public School calendar with the following exceptions: it is not open when school closes at mid-day for a vacation period or closes early because of bad weather. September 28, 2021 Update: The Kid Care Afterschool program has a couple of openings for most days.  If you are interested in registering, please call 781-316-3883.  Thank you!  Arlington Recreation Dept. is proud to offer this licensed, extended-day program for children in Grades K – 5. The program is held at the Gibbs School, 41 Foster Street.  We currently accept students from Thompson, Hardy, Dallin,  Brackett - and now Stratton too!  Transportation is provided from these schools and included in the tuition.Arlington Kid Care, which is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, follows the Arlington Public School calendar with the following exceptions: it is not open when school closes at mid-day for a vacation period or closes early because of bad weather. Early release days are included as long as you are registered for the respective day.Registration Tip: Grades automatically roll up 6/1/21.  If registering an incoming Kindergartener before 6/1/21 - the grade should be "PK".  Also, if your child's grade is incorrect or listed as "N/A", please contact Arlington Recreation to update.

Badminton is a fast, fun, and social game that can be played and enjoyed by people of all ages. Even if you are new to badminton, you will quickly learn the basics and join others in exciting games. Indoor badminton is more fun, more exciting, and more energetic than the "backyard badminton" that most Americans are familiar with. Shuttlecocks will be supplied. Some racquets will be available for use.   This 2022 Winter/Spring Badminton will run on Friday nights at Dallin Elementary School from 6:30pm- 9:30pm. 16 Sessions from 1/21- 5/27 (x2/25,x4/15,x4/22) You can also do drop-in classes for $20 cash at the door.

No screens, just a lot of sports, games, running around, and tons of fun! At all of our Multi-Sport Camps, the week concludes with Tournament Day. All Viking campers will receive a Viking T-shirt and trophy. This camp runs the week of February 22- February 25 (Tuesday-Friday). .

The program is held at the Gibbs School, 41 Foster Street.  We currently accept students from Thompson, Hardy, Dallin,  Brackett - and now Stratton too!  Transportation is provided from these schools and included in the tuition.Arlington Kid Care, which is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care, follows the Arlington Public School calendar with the following exceptions: it is not open when school closes at mid-day for a vacation period or closes early because of bad weather. Early release days are included as long as you are registered for the respective day.Registration Tip: Grades automatically roll up 6/1/21.  If registering an incoming Kindergartener before 6/1/21 - the grade should be "PK".  Also, if your child's grade is incorrect or listed as "N/A", please contact Arlington Recreation to update.
